FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GLOBAL VR ANNOUNCES THE ADDITION OF FANTASY COURSES FOR THE NEW SMASH HIT, EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR® GOLF

September 7, 2002 -- San Jose, CA -- On October 15th, GLOBAL VR, the industry leader in breakthrough coin-operated video game products, will concurrently introduce two new fantasy courses along with the official launch of their EA Sports PGA TOUR Golf Tournament System. The courses, "Timber Hill" and "Scorpion Ridge" will cater to the "masochistic player", the one who thrives on challenge and improbable course situations.

First, there's Timber Hill:

The Timber Hill Fantasy Course is a beautifully forested and hilly course reminiscent of the great northwest. But that beauty can be misleading (Hole 17 is a prime example, as players must shoot between volcanic spires to reach an island green!). Timber Hill is approximately 6300 yards of pure agony if you don't shoot well! With breathtaking tee and pin placements and natural looking (but 'unnaturally' difficult) hazards to work through, it's sure to excite video golfers looking for a challenge.

In addition to Timber Hill, Global VR is also introducing an equally interesting Fantasy Course called Scorpion Ridge.

The Scorpion Ridge course is located in a Southwest style setting, richly populated with sweeping mesas and deep river valleys. Scorpion Ridge adds the fun of shooting around and through precarious rock arches. Players will also drive onto fairways that draw them down into canyons as well as across rivers and gorges. Scorpion Ridge is 7700 yards of either sheer joy or sheer terror, depending on your skill with the clubs (or should we say trackball?)

Chuck McMakin, GLOBAL VR's Product Marketing Manager is focused and direct about the company's mission to take video golfing to the next level: "The sport of video golf has matured to the point that the real hard-core enthusiasts crave more challenges than even the bravest real world golf course designer would dream up!

We're talking about shots between majestic volcanic spires, shots out onto postage-stamp-sized greens, doglegs around vicious looking giant trees that nearly appear to lean into the fairway as you drive from the tee.

These are the things video golfers dream about. And GLOBAL VR is now making those dreams come true!"
