GLOBAL VR LAUNCHES VR VORTEK IN ASIA ASIAN AMUSEMENT EXPO A HUGE SUCCESS

July 16, 2001 -- Hong Kong, SAR, China -- GLOBAL VR closed its first trade show in Asia this week, unveiling the VR Vortek with all three of its software titles. Attendees at Asia's largest amusement conference were lined up 3 deep to get a chance to play, surpassing Global VR's highest expectations.

"It was a last minute decision to come to this show", said Milind Bharvirkar, GLOBAL VR's CEO. "Sales of the VR Vortek have been so strong at home, we were wary of creating too much demand overseas. Not only did we add to our presence in Russia and Australia, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, but we made our first sales into Singapore, New Zealand, India, Vietnam. Plus we were able to meet with several potential distributors here in Asia that will enable us to really get a foothold in this marketplace."

GLOBAL VR is the leading manufacturer of virtual reality arcade games. The company's VR Vortek is the world's first walk-up, coin-operated virtual reality system. Utilizing a PC platform with a boom-mounted display, the VR Vortek offers location owners the benefit of infinitely interchangeable titles in a non-attended simulator. Offered in the VR Vortek Deluxe, Standard and 3D cabinets, VR Vortek offers players a truly immersive 3D experience with force-feedback and is now available with three different software titles: Heavy Gear II, SIN and the recent top-earner, Beachhead 2000.

GLOBAL VR recently announced a four-year deal with Electronic Arts to develop a series of games based on EA SPORTS Tiger Woods PGA Tour and will begin production of two new football simulators, Red Zone Offense and Split the Uprights. Based on a patented motion sensor technology, players use a real football to either throw touchdowns or kick field goals in a virtual football stadium.
